Back in 1999 I worked for an Internet startup called Backflip. It was my first Internet startup, and in less than a year it burned through many millions of dollars before going up in a glorious ball of flame. But while we were there we sure had fun. Natalie came across a stack of photos yesterday documenting two such instances of “bubble hi-jinks”. The first: we happened to lose our net connection for half a day and Fubini and I decided to hit the streets for handouts. The second: James, Charles and I went blond. both of these events made sense at the time. As did most every ridiculous thing that happended in those days.
