Holidays are like a Roller Coaster

chris December 30th, 2007

They say that spending time with the relatives over the holidays has it’s ups and downs. This video demonstrates that this is true. Literally.

Front seat: Uncle Buzz and myself. Back seat: the nieces Madison and Brianna outta Texas. And the car in front: Aunt Susan and cousin Brenda.

sealsFilmed the day after Christmas on the Giant Dipper at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. At right is a picture snapped by the coaster cam, revealing my filming technique, using my not-so-steady-cam. This done with my new Olympus 790SW.

Natalie’s Third Year at Camp Kennolyn

chris July 5th, 2006

Natalie’s out of school for the summer, so the first thing we did was ship her off to camp for a week. But to be fair, Camp Kennolyn seems to be her favorite place in the world. Did she like it this year? the first thing she told us when we picked her up was “Next year I want to stay for two weeks!”

On the pick-up day we were treated to a mini version of what her day at camp was like. Outdoor cooking, vaulting, wheel pottery, swimming, photography, singing around a campfire, and so on and so on. Great fun!
